Krafty, that liberal dickhead Tony Wabbott would have pulled all the fibre out of the ground to light christmas trees and nativety scenes at schools by then.

If that moron gets in you will never gt NBN.

^ Thats 1 thing I dont believe the Liberals will do. Despite what they say.

The equipment is in, there is only 1 NBN site that hasn't got gear yet. Well around here anyways.

Newcastle has the equipment already, Maitland, Cessnock, Singleton and Branxton will be NBN sites.

However, Branxton has the racks but from memory the equipment isn't in yet in. However, power has been upgraded, air con's updated etc.

The problem with Fibre to the Node. The cables from the house to the pillar are the bit of the network thats !@#$ed at the moment.

Fibre to the Node will virtually putting a cabinet where the pillar is now. So all the copper will need replacing from the current pillars to the house.

Oh and the NBN equipment is Alcatel.

Haha biscuits. Personally I don't give a rats about the NBN, I neither want or see a need for it for myself, others situations are different and that's fine. I don't particularly agree with the system that will be in place but I understand the need for some to have high speed porn.

No to side track to politics. But i don't believe they can do half they magical things the claim. Labour might not make everyone happy with their decisions. But at least those decisions are funded.

Abbott make claims that please the majority but refuses to cost his promises. I call bullshit on the liberal party.

I get the keys to my new built house on 13th and NBN is currently being laid in next suburb over and mines next. I can't wait to have a choice in what i watch and when, what i can listen to and view. Bring it on.

I did put effort in, I typed several words where I really didn't need to, some call it post whoring, I call it effort!

I already have a choice of what to watch, if it's on and I want to watch it I watch it, if it's not on I don't :ha:

I haven't downloaded a movie for about 8 years and the only TV show I've downloaded was Red Dwarf which I could have waited for but my Missus insisted I had to watch as soon as it aired in the UK.

Although I dont agree with everything the Liberals do, especially to agree about selling Cubby station to foriegn buyers.

They dont just bring in a new tax every second week like the Labor party.

Exactly. when we moved in here 27-28 ears ago, the two pair to the middle of the house was awful. The phone and dial up quality improved remarkably when I had the 10 pair brought into the office and they they upgrade the feed to the pillar and then to all the pits up the street. Humms along now, provided te num-nuts techos do their job properly.

I have come across some dodgy dodgy work.

I try and fix as much as I can, even though I dont get payed for it.

Management never check rural work, hence why rural suffers.

I have rewired all the phone outlets in the house and the TV antenna.

Brought a box of Cat 6 the other day, now to run the network.

Good now you've had some practice come and redo mine and I'll give you a lollipop because I'm to lazy to get up in the roof and rewire stuff.

Nothing I can't live without but I probably could replace the coax and the cat 5 one day. I just hate getting up there because the roof cavity and everything up there is still covered in a thick layer of soot and black dust from Black Saturday.

I never did, got all the cables and sockets in the wall but never got around to wiring anything up. Since my office has moved chances are if I rewired I'd rewire and stick the hub out there.
