We picked up a collection of bottles of various wines from my grand fathers place, age range was between 10 and 25 years and the house still reeks of vinegar because the missus insisted on drinking any that didn't have stuff floating in the bottle.

Can't stand vinegar myself.

The wine was great & so was the steak. I've got a 1998 McNicol (clare valley) shiraz waiting for a special occaision, now that'll make any sreak taste like shit!

Well it's pointless getting offended by the term. Usually the person using the term is trying to offend, if you don't get offended by it then their shit becomes less offensive and more endearment.
