I contacted the rep for Plascorp that my employer deals with regarding the electrical conduit & rolls of safety tape & rolls of orange plastic safety mesh. He was interested however he asked me to send and email to him [email protected] requesting items and details of club and usage.
Does the committee need to send the request with Muster info or will it be OK for me to send the request if we still need any of these items.

I'm not sure, I thought Luke was going to chase down Zordo. I think Lindsay is coming along, pretty sure he was asked. We can always try again. I have to contact Nizzbits and Niss4x4 as well at some point to see if they want to be involved again.

Hi guys, I received an Email today from 4x4earth titled "news letter" it contained info on all sorts inc stuff about the vic 4x4 show, anyway it got me thinking that maybe we should send out a Navara.asia news letter reminding everyone about the muster and telling those who dont come on here much about it, maybe it will stir up more interest.
Just a thought.

That's a neat idea. The sign-up process asks the person "Do you want to allow the administrators to send you email from time to time?". It does default to 'yes' so we'd have to include a passage about how they permitted us to send them email (if it didn't, they would have made a conscious decision to permit it).

It means we can put a list of users together and send 'em email. I'll have a look at my [email protected] account and see if there's anything in there for bulk mailing.

Im prob not the man for that job as i have clearly demonstrated i suffer from a massive case of foot in mouth disease on more the 1000 occasions on the forum, BUT i could send the 4x4 earth email for some inspiration for the person who does have a go??

hows the onduit coming along
we could get some cheap garden stakes and attatch a small piece of conduit to top??
some one has golf balls ?? will need to attatch string to them

I suspect we will see an increase in sign ups as the event draws nearer, I haven't sent in my rego yet as I'm waiting for a little longer.

Yeah i think it will help remind people to get on board and also its nice to give an official invite and out line the fact that its for every one from the first time 4x4 owner to the full on guys that go out all the time, i also like that you guys have done a good job in promoting the family camping touring side of the event and we should remind everyone we can about that.

I have the golf balls sorted, i have drilled holes through a dozen and have started threading some string through them so we should be all good to go there.
We do need to see if any QLDers can bring conduit, but i think it may just be as easy to know that one of us has it packed, that way we definitely know we have it.

I was thinking about a dozen lengths long enough to placed in holes in the ground and high enough to be around window height of a Nav, the exact length will change slightly depending on the terrain and how firm the soil is, BUT if we said round 1700mm per length that should get us out of trouble.
As said before we can even use an off cut or two and join them up if need be.

I will bring my cordless 18v rotary hammer drill with a 20mm masonry bit that is about 550mm long to drill pilot holes for the conduit to slide into.
I have also set up the golf balls ready to be tied and tapped onto the conduit.

hi guys
i have some bad news
looks like i wont be attending muster
its not definite but i really dont like my chances
my back has got worse in the last week (steroid inj wearing off) and i am now down from 8 hrs to 6 hr shifts (usially 12)
i spent hrs yesterday in meetings with company doctor and insurance company and had a long chat with my site delegate (awu)
followed by a meeting with my solicitor at 5pm
something has to be done ,the company wont tolerate me being on restricted duties and hrs for much longer and will make me medically unfit for duties (sacked) shortly if i dont improve
i will be going in for a double spinal fusion surgery very soon (L4,L5 and L5,S1 lumbar)
the recovery period is 3 mths
ime up at this hr cause i simply cant sleep,too much going on in the old head
i will pass on the gear i have collected for gymkharna to tony
and i will still help wherever i can
i will also speak to brad (lladner) about taking my place to help nathan out with gymkharna if thats ok
i MAY be able to come up for a day visit in the skyline (staying in hotel?) but i really doubt i will be attending with the nav or camping
i will keep you all informed
fkin back stopped me from going to the cape and now this
ime over it all, its been a long 3 mths since injury and we have tried everything to avoid operation
not happy jan, and very scared about op
i cant find the words to explain how pissed off and upset i am about missing another great event
