Hey Brad, if you could get some conduit that would be good, BUT we need will use the stuff sparky's normally use 20-25mm in diameter, most plumbers will carry from 50mm up but if he has some and doesnt mind parting with it that would be great.

Hi guy's, well I just read the whole thread to catch up on what's happening. :confused3:
I jotted down some notes as I was reading for stuff so I wouldn't forget it all by the time I finished lol..

1. Is the leaving muster day, Sunday or Monday, thought we didn't have to be of site till Monday morning? leaving sunday for us to do stuff. the way I was thinking was anyone who lives close wont have to leave early sunday and most people that live a long distance will be off Monday anyway to travel.

2. The conduit, are we set for that? My mate has his own plumping business and I could raid his left over PVC pipe pile in his back yard, I know his missus would mind it going missing haha..

3. I third the white shoe cleaner, all you need is a scraper to get it off.

4. ljacko, the Ados muster stickers I have mine still could send you a photo if needed.

5. Tony, the direction signs you where goin to give to sparra, I can take them if you need.

To Sparra, really sorry on the bad new mate, make sure you look after yourself, there's plenty of trips left in yah yet.

Are you coming up with us? The signs are basically just 5 wooden stakes, 6 pieces of corflute board and a bunch of stainless steel screws, assemble as needed. They'll pack into nothing - if you're coming up with me, then I've probably got more storage anyway, but if you're going up early, I'll drop them around to ya - we really only need them at one intersection, because the rest of the way is pretty obvious - but we'll still put some out 300m before the gate and right at the gate too.

6 days to go
ime soooo nervious you wouldn't get a pin up my arse with a jackhammer
tony/brad
i have some barrier tape and clipboards here for the gymkharna

Okay, officially I have forms and money from the people listed below. Note that missing forms have been re-requested and missing money is not a drama at all until we have to start buying things.

WayneD4T + Partner - form and money
Gonzo - form and money
RustyNav + partner - form and money
NathanD22 + child(maybe) - form and money
rgooch - money, form missing (will be re-sent)
lladnar - form, money to come

We've received 5 payments in the bank for 7 people, there will be 9 confirmed people not including the committee. That's a total of 9 cars (including the committee). At this rate it's hardly better than Victoria.

And that's despite the great prizes and stuff. We're going to go, but I hope no sponsors actually show up to see the turnout, it'll be embarrassing.

Oh crap, im not sure what is happening its a great location, the committee has done a great job with prizes ect, mmmmmmm
maybe people will sign up closer to the event?? and on the actual weekend???

How is the "news letter" coming along? has anyone put their hand up to be the "word smith"?

Yes it can go to all members as a once off email. When people sign on it says the Forum can email members about site discussions. Tony is talking to Dylan about it. One email sent out only so we don't look like we're pissing people off with spam.

Hopefully soon :)

Hmm, maybe we should have allowed dogs?

Just kidding. That's quite a disappointing number, but we're still 2.5 months out. From memory I didn't sign up for the last muster until about 4 weeks before.

I'm trying to remember what the buzz was like around the forums before the last Muster, I think there was alot more excited talk going on, but I'm not sure.

How can we zing this up a bit??? Booze, Strippers, boozed up strippers, a tent revival, free automatic weapon firing! I don't know??????????????

I must admit I thought we would have had at least a dozen sign ups by now.

my memory is that there was no buzz at all for the last muster, the first one seemed to have a bit of excitement around it but as i couldnt make it to that one i was surprised to see how few actually ended up at the going.

At this stage dont we have the same amount of cars going (inc committee ect)
with 2.5 months to go we should get more signing up, and im sure we will get a couple paying at the event.

It will improve and we should get emails out thru this Forum to all members. We just need Tony checking with Dylan

No I meant Ados, no other Musters got off the ground did they?

I think maybe we need to put more info on the website, lots of the info gets lost in these forums and posts, it's not the way to advertise things.

Can we come up with an itinerary? As an example.

People need to be told what's happening, they have been, in about a thousand thread posts, but there is nothing anywhere where they can go return to remind themselves.

Nathan, can you tell me what/how and when the Gymkhana is on, what it's about, how long do the evennts go for. Hard core or easy, do I need 37's or will my stock tyres do???

Luke, how long do you think the 14 rivers drive will take??? Is it a tough drive?? Again, will I need 37's or stock tyres good enough???

I can put stuff up on the web site, most times, within an hour of receiving it.

Anyone can contribute anything, we need more info on the web site I reckon.

For a start we have the two newsletters which sum things up pretty well. They went into the Registration thread hoping people see them as a quick guide

I am off to 14 rivers on Sunday. At a guess 5-6hrs return trip which will include a lunch stop or side trip the Queen Mary Falls.

Also make a new 2013 video section and put up the 2 promo videos

My thoughts on the events were to keep them fun and easy to do in a stock ute, keeping in mind we want to test the driver and not the car that way there is little to no chance of damage to anyones vehicle.

The challenge will be in the ability to complete the course or courses as close as possible to the "set/mean time", so hitting the bunting or stopping where not allowed will receive penalties such as 2 or 5 points, also if a car arrives at the finish line to early they will receive 2point penalty for every second they are early and 1 point for every second they are late .
Points will be capped at a max of say, 30 points for each event.

I think we should make the course lengths short enough to be able to be completed in or less then 5min.

How many events do we want to hold??
I was thinking of only having 2 (maybe 3) short events during the day as i think a few may want to get on the drink as soon as it gets dark or will already be on it by the arvo.
Maybe hold one friday morning (not to early, say 10am) then same time saturday and one in the late arvo??
