Never read the instructions, like your way so changed it , put the extra bit on the tub at the bottom , nothings getting through there 😁 B83A78D4-9059-41C8-9E6F-D10C1EE11CA0.jpegB83A78D4-9059-41C8-9E6F-D10C1EE11CA0.jpegD5F3759B-F501-4DB6-8772-B9CAC6719834.jpeg062D7BB6-FA0C-4D78-B794-C00EFDCAF049.jpeg

I pulled out the dead dashcam and drove it 630ks. It's getting a clean today before I drive it 475ks tomorrow.
Something I did a number of months ago though, the gear knob had a bit of a meltdown. The outer sleeve was loose and since I'm not the greatest fan of a loose sleeved knobs I bought a replacement from the best known place in the world to order the correct the part and get the wrong one, Aliexpress.
The new shiny aluminium knob arrived with the wrong thread in it. (metric course instead of fine)
Since I work in the engineering trade I decided to make a small adaptor to correct this indiscretion.
I think one of the guys at work force fed it some viagra as it's now 10" long.
Surprisingly enough it's actually very nice to drive with and for some weird reason my fuel economy has improved.
So the moral of the story is two fold, refrain from buying parts from unknown entities and a long shifter will save you fuel.

Straightened my front number plate that a roo kindly bent. Added a pair of hids, and ordered a canopy. Fitted the new snorkel ( note to self, get someone else to fit it next time.)
Anxiety plus when your about to drill an 86mm hole in your mudguard.

Put a 12v socket in the tub , handy for the fridge when away 👍🏻

Fitted trailer brakes and an Anderson plug to supply power to camper trailer. Went with a Hayman Reece iq unit. Control mounted behind gear shift. Power for both via 25amp cable and a 30amp circuit breaker.

My Rockarmor recovery points turned up and took all of 15mins to fit and added 2 more 7" spotties.
That will make it easier to see the roos before they go under the nav.
Also installed the tailgate seal in prep for the new canopy next week. I'll work over the weekend the take the sports bar off and remove the riveted tonneau strips so ARB don't have to mess around.
And I'll try to get the motivation to weld up a light weight roof basket.
Aaannd its time for the 80k service.

Got some alloy made up to put marker lights on , save me from drilling too many holes into the step ,
5 or 6 ?, chose was is more 😁

Will get them fitted properly at the weekend.
