Hello everyone. I hope all is good.
I am currently having a big problem with my Nissan Navara 2010 with a milage of 150KM. I believe this is a Thai Edition (I am from the Philippines). Currently the EGR is blocked.

This morning, I was reversing the vehicle out of my garage to head to the office and then I felt gear shift went "limp" on me and I was "stuck" in reverse (I've tried changing gears to drive, but was not avail to).
Fortunately, I was able to park and turn off the car by the side of the road by reversing.

After which I tried restarting the car (thinking it was just a glitch) and was not able to and was able to hear "clicks", thus I decided to take leave off work to troubleshoot this.
I hear clicks in both passenger fuse and engine fuse whenever I try to start the car.

1. I just bought a new battery last week and also used my other car (utilizes a DIN75 battery, more or less the same CCA), still, I was not able to start
2. I have checked all the fuses (passenger side and engine bay) with my multimeter and all of them had continuity.
3. I have tried checking the wirings (I had rodent issues before) at engine bay and passenger fuse area, all looks ok.
4. I have tried checking the relays with my multimeter (ohms) and yes, all were working.
5. I have have a generic obd2 scanner, no fault codes.
6. Fan Motor, lights , radio ..etc all work.

After all that , I still was not able to start.

I did a research online and found this video on a faulty/broken Shift Cable Grommet (I just ordered a replacement). And yes, my my grommet was wornout (reason for wobbly shift gear). I was assuming the reason the car was not able to start is that I was stuck in reverse (when the grommet broke).

I was able to disassemble the shifter (in order to check grommet/bushing ) and realise the shift wire has already been disconnected (I still have to wait for the replacement therefore I cannot hook the shift cable yet.. But I was able to manipulate the shift cable by hand (pushing it all the way front so that Navara will think I am in park, thinking I'll be able to start the car)....

Sadly, all clicks, not start.

Now I am stuck , she's parked outside.. I wonder where else can I look at?
I will look for relays tomorrow.

Hi
I am having the same problem, I have currently had my navara at the nissan shop for over 3 months.

They do have a anti theft system which will cut off a certain amount of current to the starter motor stopping it from completing the start cycle I noticed this when I tried jump starting the starter motor.

I tried both installed it would spin but not throw rod and when it was uninstalled it would throw rod but not spin.

Told nissan this but they weren't intrested in what I had to say. So far they have replaced ECU, BCM, immobiliser key barrel new key all of which has not worked. there next move is the transmission control unite ill let you know if that works.

Do you still have gear position showing on the instrument cluster ? If not the vehicle won’t crank.
