Gday I have a 2018 nav it’s done 150,000 the last 6 months it’s overheating under load.
I tow a tool trailer for work it ways 1.8 tone. So far I have spent $8000 on it trying to sort it out at 3 different mechanics including a Nissan dealership.
I have replaced the coolant pumps viscous fan the thermostat housing the water pump replaced the radiator cap and cleaned the radiator still the engine light comes on.

I can drive around normal but as soon as it’s under load it over heats.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

first thing is to replace the radiator. thats the most common fail point on most vehicles.

also whats the actual error code.

EGR code error it keeps bringing up
need the actual code. there is several egr related codes.
Next step is replacing the radiator should I go with a genuine or a performance one
hard to say. a standard one should be fine. i have not heard of any problems with them overheating with stock radiators. what you have to watch with performance ones is some are worse than stock. there is also other ways to do cooling.

if its getting egr codes not coolant codes, then wait till we can work out what the actual problem is.

DTC P0217-98, P23A7, P24A8

Having had some "overheating" issues with another brand of vehicle, where the gauge was showing it was overheating when it actually wasn't, the first thing I'd do is to check the temp sensor/s. There are videos on Youtube showing you how to do it without removing the sensor. All you need is a multimeter. Good luck with it.

I had exact same issue. replaced everything, then radiator was last. Overheating only when under load and climbing gradient.
I ordered one off ebay. Chinese version. A couple of the bolt holes didn't line up, but a bit of drilling and fiddling and it all went together. No problems since.
Best of luck.

not sure what the -98 is and p23a7 i assume is p24a7 which is the other egr coolant pump.

it all looks like engine over temp. the egr coolant pump codes also get triggered when over heat.

checking the coolant sensor is not a bad thing. of course make sure your not loosing coolant (ie cracked head).
but certainly the first thing i would have replaced is the radiator. then look at fan, pump etc.

also i would check nothing blocking airflow getting to the radiator. intercooler or aircon rad getting blocked up.
