Hi all.
im keen on making them for the d22 at this point as i have a chassis and body i can make them off and work out the design (45deg bends or 90 deg bends, slight kickup ect) i usually try a few to get the look right.., d40 will have to wait unless someone is willing to leave theirs here for a day. Im just about to make some for mine so the timing is ok (The navrol is almost finished so ill have time to make sliders ect again).. As for style they would be bolt on using u brackets, not plates welded to the chassis and a minimum of 3 mounts a side, the tube i will be using is 42od 3.2mm wall. i can plate the bottom and have points for high lift jacks, i also run a strip of 3m non slip tape on the top of the slider. i usually finish them in a industrial epoxy coating, it is easy to buy and easy to touch up if needed.
Depending on the amount wanted i would charge $500 a set or if i get enough keen i could maybe do them for $450, i would need a deposit before starting them. I should be able to work out freight through e-go at a reasonable rate, or your welcome to pickup or organize your own freight.

cheers mark.

what do you mean by bottom plate?
is it possible to get a top plate of infill plate?
i think a sketch of your design might be required.
when ordering mine i might have to come down and meet you cause i have a gas tank and gas line that might get in the road.

Mark if you can post up a rough design of what they will look like that will help.

Dont include measurements.

Dave.

Personally i loved the ones boof put on his green hilux.
i like that design
can't wait to see mark's design tho

I'm still keen on 2 sets to be delivered to Geelong, VIC once Im happy with the rough design shown, happy to pay a depsoit up front. Keen on the top infill plate or chequerplate etc also?

Will require postage to Townsville 4814. If we can get them for 450 plus postage I'm in and willing to deposit coin once a plan is avail. Cheers.:cheers!:

Mark,

I'm keen as well, subject to a sketch. Am also very interested in your rear bar with twin wheel carrier. Is the price still as per your rear bar thread? Please PM me if you prefer.

Bottom plate is a 3mm steel plate welded to the bottom of the slider the whole way to stop it catching up.

To be honest im not sure how to sketch and put it up here, i will be making my sliders next week and usually that is how i get the design happening by building them, i can take pics and try to get them onto this laptop but i have had no sucess so far in doing that.
Your welcome to come out bud when its time to make yours.

cheers mark.

I'm in at $450 a set depending on design.Need to get a price to the yarra valley in vic for freight

$450 depends on the amount i make bud, if everyone is talking top plates also there is no way i will be able to make them for $450 and actually make some money off them, As bad as this comes out its really not worth the time/ tools/ parts ect for only a few sliders at that price.

You need to get onto e-go and enter the details and it will give you a quote.
My area code is 4554, eudlo, qld.

cheers mark.

As said i will try to get some sort of pic up here somehow, The rear bars will be getting made again within a month, prices will be around the same.

cheers mark.

mark,

does the price for the rear bar include the rear two wheel carriers? Could you make one a jerry can holder instead?

hey mark.

my only concearn with just the bottom plate is that it will hold water all the time and potentally rust.

personally i would prefer a middle infill plate with some dimple holes in it rather then a solid flat bottom plate. most of us aren't doing rock crawling comps. and we would probably get hung up by something else.

if you have a good camera phone you can send me the photos and i will upload them to the website off my phone.

what are our plans for this weekend, cause if im bored i can sneak down there and check out your work and get some photos and dimension and do a couple 3d drawings in autocad to give other's your idea.

fitting mine saturday, i'll post up some pics... for interest sake mine cost $800 :( so i reckon $450 is a bloody bargain

G'Day again, I'm keen for 2 sets sooner rather than later if there are enough definite buyers on here to get something started and some deposits paid, get a couple of pics up and away we go that if you have the time and are actualy going to make a few bucks of it Mark.......
