So I see you've decided to go chip it now?
Atleast he's making effort to get on here. I was so close to ordering a chip express chip tonight. $650 delivered from the uk..
Tech support would suck though...

Great mate, I am off this week.

Spelt all day trying to get the old girls VT Commodore checked today as it dumped the coolent via the Heater tap.

Common VT problem, hopefully the heads and headgaskets are fine.

Not a good start to my holidays.

Yeah I work literally inside a Holden dealership.
Hunks of shot those things mate...
Trade it in, save yourself buy a micra haha ;).
I need to make my damn decisions.! I want some more power on highways so I'm thinking chip, but that money could get my canopy done, or buy me a fridge. I think overtaking power is more important maybe haha.
But I don't want to ruin my economy anymore

Oh I know, I sick of !@#$wits in Camry's dawdling and holding me up.

Do the heads crack on them easy ?

I have been told yes and no.

No not easy. I'm telling you it was all in the 00- sept 03 patrol...
Mrs wants me to trade in the Nav end of the year to buy a patrol.. I kind of agree but I love my Nav too much to let her go that easy.. Sometimes I think I'd rather a patrol but I change my mind too easy... I have a problem
I spend money on stupid things all the time. Put a new head deck and a powered sub in the Nav last week, could have spent that on a fridge or the canopy or some more lift or power. But no, it was infront of me so I bought it.

I know that feeling.

Yeah I remember the early ZD30's had head drama's. TB42's, RD28's were prone for it to.

Keep the Nav, planning on kids soon ?

Oh and on the heads, I mean't Ecotec V6's. There cast iron after all.

Oh haha. Bah don't stress they'll do a gasket before they crack...
Easiest motors to work on though it is easier to replace them..
Kids aren't on the cards yet... If they were the Nav would be Fine for a while still.. She just wants more comfy offroad and I don't think she trusts the Navs ability either though

Your paying for it mate. She'll get over it if you keep it.

Cheers, the VT's only done 130,000km's.

Half the problem is, it doesn't get long drives.

Yeah she needs to
Open it up. Even do a few skids haha. Guarantees link rod bushes and tie rod bushes are all flogged.. Strut top
Mounts too...

I told her to get a A32 Maxima, but no.

She listened to my brother and brought a Commodore as parts are Cheaper.

The Maxima wouldn't have had these problems.

Ahh bad move! Mate A32's are awesome.
Had one in today 278,000kms. Never had a major issue. Services every 6 months as or handbook and it's perfect.

True that, the VQ series engine shits all over the Buick V6.

Even the VG30DE's were bullet proof. Timing belts a pain in the arse though.

Then you'll want to steer clear from
Those sidi engines then haha.
The old 304 is the only way to go if it's a
Holden..

Whats wrong with the Alloytech donks ?

Mates got a VE Wagon, goes alright for a 3L V6.

Still rate the VQ series better though.

Probably about as reliable as a YD25 2010 STX... Haha
I'm off.. Buckled. Laters
