that all sounds good sparra,
we will just need to clarify that stopping will be penalised if outside of the "permitted zones" such as "placing golf balls/ cans on conduit" and in the "multi turn zones"
other then that it all looks pretty clear to me, BUT it would be good to hear what others say that have not done anything like this in the past.

will make up some stopping permitted zone signs

Just had some douche on the facebook add complaining why it costs $70 to attend the muster & then pay for the tracks.
Told him it was for insurance and camping fees. People are idiots, not like we charge it just for the fun of it.
Tough trucks is $120 per person

4 multi point turn signs done
here is a draft of rules
ideas and comments please

rules and scoring
the aim is to complete the set course in a set time
each course will have a different set time and will be advised at start line
its very handy to have a navigator with a stopwatch so you can keep an eye on your time
on some courses you will have extra challenges like placing golf ball on conduit, will be explained at start line
at the finish line you will be required to knock the golf ball off conduit, this will be when the stopwatch is stopped
the only area reverse and complete stops will be allowed is a multi point turn area and golf ball challenge area
you are only permitted to come to a complete stop in multi point and golf ball areas signage will be displayed
there will be minimal marshalls on course so your honesty is appreciated
the points system is set out below
1; for every second you are EARLY across finish line = 2 points
2; for every second you are LATE across finish line = 1 point
3;stopping ANYWHERE on course exept for multi turn and golf ball challenge = 5 points
4;hitting bunting or going off course = 5 points
5; reversing anywhere exept multi turn = 5 points
all timing will be rounded up or down to the nearest second

the winner will be the person with the lowest score across all courses
mean times are set with steady driving and vehicle safety in mind, theres no need to flog your vehicle around course BUT dont take too much time ?

That sounds pretty good to me mate.

People are scabs sometimes, but isnt it $50 plus extra for use of or driving on the parks tracks,
Also the if you enter in the Son of trials you will pay more and get less, no goodie bag, no T-shirt, no raffles, no lucky door prize, ect all you get at "SOT" is camping and allowed to compete.

I think $50 is an awesome price. what do people want for that really?? idiots.

it's $70 now. $50 if payed before 1st Sept.
I really felt like telling him "well don't fraking come then" but I didn't managed to stay very civil.

I'm not as good looking as Tony, but yep, the instructions could be slipped in the showbags, it'd be perfect.

Well luke or one of the other committee members that are on Facebook need to make a ruling on the douche bag that was whining about the price. He wants yo come and pring friends but they dont want to pay the price just pay the park.

This is his last message.
"I have a few people that want to come down with us but do not have navaras (triton and jeeps) but would like to camp with us, should they pay via the janowen hills park? As they don't want a goodies bag n shirt ect..."

The way I look at it is, If the park is open to the public then really we can't stop them from coming, but! unless they are a payed contributor to the event then they are not welcome in our camp area or allowed to tag along on any of the planed activities.
But I'll leave it to the committee to decide. If you can let me know or go onto the Aussie 4wd Navara D40 page and let him know.

This is the only problem with a public venue - we can't stop people from being douche-bags and coming along without paying and even causing problems for us. We live in a world where people are free to be as idiotic as their puny brains can make them.

We can't stop them coming. Let's assume they ARE. They won't get showbags, they won't get shirts, and they won't be in the number plate draw and I think we should announce this one BEFOREHAND now, rather than leaving it as a surprise.

No entry fee = no entry in the draw. Simple. Don't like it? Not my problem, if you don't pay you don't play. Let's move a couple of desirable prizes into the number plate draw just to piss them off.

No oil painting? No I'm not, not even if you set the bastard on fire. I had to change my birth name, I used to be "Hatfullova Souls", now I don't get anywhere near as much grief.

There are trophies, we've gotta talk about prizes too. Next committee meeting I guess. Luke?

I'd go as far as finding out of the park if we have a designated camping area just for the muster. Then if they don't want to support the muster then they can't hang out with us. I believe it's unfair to everyone else who has payed to have free loaders around us
