John has just asked me if there is to be any sort of activities or events for the kids on their pushbikes? does anyone remember anything being mentioned about stuff like that?
he seem to remember me saying there will be, BUT i dont recall saying anything like that???

Yeah they have to ride back and forward in front of a wall and we get to roll hand grenades in their direction. First to survive 5 minutes wins ... everyone else's bikes.

Seriously, I don't know what the grounds are like for cycling. Ados was superb because there was so much flat ground. Luke?

Maybe we could do a slow race over 50 -100m for a quick fun event for those kids who do have there bike? see who can take the longest over the 50m with out putting a foot on the ground??

If money permits i will purchase some more rockets, workers comp has taken 20% of my take home pay,so its a bit tight atm
They loved the rockets at ados
Joel will be bringing his bike and rock crawler
Even simple things like sparklers keep them entertained
We will also have a tv and dvd with kids movies to keep em occupied if it rains

At the moment there are 9 non-adults coming, but I have to admit the kid in me doesn't mind fireworks sometimes. Talk to me about the cost, Ian.

I bought an Aldi 150L/min compressor today for the number plate draw, and will put the two OBD adapters in that as well.

At ados the rocket and 5 engines was $ 100
I still have the rocket somewhere and i think the engines are bout $25 for3
Ile dig it out tomorrow and see if its still all there
If thats the case then all we need are engines

i have two 2wt oricom jobs

they will come in handy mate
especially if the start and finish lines are different
i suppose we will just use our phones for stop watches?
should we as organisers not compete?
i wont be competing, but will take part in setting course times ect

I dont think i will compete, i will be the navi for those that dont have one, or if no one else can.
Like you said setting the course and running the event probably wouldnt allow for a fair comp especially if our times were really good i wouldnt want to beat anyone out of the prize to be honest, BUT knowing how crap i am at theses things that would not be likely anyway! hahaha

Some good flat ground near the tiolet / shower block. Also some small hills and wombat holes they maybe able to play on for mini jumps etcs.... creek to play in and get all wet just to annoy the parents..... little quarry to ride down 60deg slopes and scare the crap out of themselves :)

should be a few spots to play in

Guys - please don't forget to give the sponsors pages on here a bit of a plug / visit etc if they have one. I did Tough Toys today. Just want to increase the number of views etc a bit

no probs will try and bump their pages.

Well I'm pretty sure I would like to compete.

I have four packets of sparklers for the kids

Go for it Brad i dont think its an issue for anyone that is on the committee or organising, but for Sparra and or myself that set the course "mean time" by being the pace car so to speak it may be deemed an advantage by some, and personally if i were to freak it and win i wouldn't feel right taking the prize off someone else.

I agree with Nathan, you should be able to compete,so should all comitee members
As long as your not involved with setting track times i dont see an issue
Helping with running event with timing/marshalling ect shouldnt give you any advantage

The motors vary depending on how high you want to go
The rocket has been found and is almost complete
we need some wadding and some engines
I will call into frontline today and get back to you

Without a woody I guess we'd pack the magazines away and ... oh shit, wrong place for that conversation.

I may be bringing my chainsaw, depends on the room I have. I'll have to come around and see how you're doing - not sure when, but I've got a USB stick with those photos we took on the Polblue run.

Scuze my ignorance, but what is that thing? Is it a fireworks rocket that explodes or just a rocket that leaves earths atmosphere, fizzles out, plummets back to earth and hits Tony on the head?
