Brand Loyal when it comes to everything ?

I am with Tv's etc.

Panasonic has never let me down.

Samsung has given me a shit run.

Yeah always buy the same brand computer components, they may be a little dearer but I haven't had a return in 17 years so the cost is justified.

Even mobiles. I have always had a good run with Nokia's. They mightn't be the most advanced these days.

But they work and dont let me down. The E51 has served me well for a few years.

Yeah I've had a good run with Nokia's too but since I don't buy phones I don't really stay loyal to one brand. I do have to give points to my Telit Sat550's though, most reviews make them out to be crap but I haven't charged either of them since out last trip to Perth 18 months ago and I took them out the other day and both still hold charge and work perfectly, added to the fact they are free calls I say :ha: too all those bad reviewers of the things.

They are phones that Pivotel/Globalstar was selling years ago. They are bulky phones but they are also about 7 years old and most people think they are shit because the newer ones are smaller and probably easier to use but when the price is right and they still work all is good. The GS network isn't the best one out there either but once again when the price is right things can be ignored, if I need them somewhere out in the middle of the country providing I can see the sky I'll get a signal at some stage.

Doesn't ring a bell. But then again, I have never needed a sat phone.

Whoever it was who recommended Mitsubishi Heavy Industries air con's to me on here. Thanks. 2 thumbs up.

They use shit all power and are awesome.

Not really one to be brand loyal, but I do have brand preferences.

All my phones have been Nokias til my first Blackberry. I find that the BB works much better for business so I'll be sticking to this until something better comes along.

All my a/c's are Panasonics, TV's have been Sony until the Samsung LEDs came out.

Guess I don't mind getting another brand as much anymore. As long as it works better and looks cool coz I'm still a shallow basterd at heart.

That's interesting, most of the businesses I talk to are arseholing the Blackberries for HTC's because they are more user friendly. I've never been a fan of any "Smart Phone" and refuse to sell the HTC's even though their mark up is good but it's interesting to hear some people still like their BB's

@Krafty
Coming from Nokias the BB's are a big leap ahead I think. Used to have an HTC Touch but it got stolen before I even had a chance to transfer all my data. So I just got a cheaper BB. I tend to dislike touchscreen phones as my hands are always grubby.

I tend to dislike any phone that does more than make a phone call and send a text message. If I want to take videos or photos I'll take a friggen camera, if I want to check email or surf the web I'll do it on a screen I can see not a mobile phone.

With electronics we have had a good run with LG's for Tv, Stereo's Mum and dad have a 20+ year old Yamaha system that still to this day is more then loud enough, so when i brought my new tv i brought yamaha surround sound.

Cloths? Majority of my stuff is RMW as i know that every time i pick up my size clothing it will fit like the last ones, and have always brought from local store and i am always looked after, i.e can pick up something like a shirt for my parents for a present and i know if it isn't exactly right size or even colour i will be able to go back in and get the right one.

And one the idea about phone couldn't agree with you more Krafty

Wow you're house sounds similar to mine, new LG screens through out because I've never had an issue and a nearly 20 yr old Yamaha sound sound system, it might not be 7.1 surround but 5.1 is more than enough for me. I'd buy Yamaha again if I needed a new stereo, this one has lasted well and traveled well living in 2 different states and 7 different houses.

Ha ha, my yamahapy amp is the old prologic pre 5.1 type. Still works as good as the day I brought it home. I have both Panasonic and Samsung hd plasma tv's and can't fault either of them though The Panasonic's picture is a little more refined!
Yamaha for music paired with B & W speakers is hard for me to go past. I now have a Mac computer and will never, never go back to a pc because it has so far done everything they said it could with so much ease that I'm actually inclined to use it more often for quotes and invoices than any previous unit I've had. Nokia was always good but I now use an iPhone for everything including this post.

I'm not much of a label queen, I prefer to go with the technology that appeals to me rather than a logo that I find enticing, with the exception being the X-Box. I hate it, won't have it, you can keep the ruddy thing.

I had a HTC Touch phone and while it was not too bad as far as smart phones went, it was a little clunky. I did successfully install Android on it (it was a Windows Mobile 6 device) and that ran okay for a little while but ate through the battery like no man's business. The HTC phones are pigs with bluetooth though - if you're going to use one to connect to your car stereo etc, I'd advice against it.

I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy SII as soon as it came out, having read advance reviews of the thing and liking what I read. Now that I've had the phone for a few months, I'm absolutely pleased as punch with it. It gets a little warm and sometimes wants a reboot but mostly the thing is brilliant. I use it to connect to the bluetooth dongle in my car's OBD port and get real-time ECU data displayed.

I am brand loyal to the Following.

1. Century Batteries (Durable and Aussie)
2. Panasonic A/C, Quality and Quiet
3. LG, Good Quality and Relability
4. Pirelli Tyres. Good Products and now the Aus Tyre industry is gone, supporting western manufacturing is good in my view.
5. Ryco Filters (If not using Genuine)
6. Bendix Brake Pads (Rather than the cheap rubbish)
7. Reflex copying paper (pay $2.00 moire and support Australian Industry)

Regards

Greg

Tv's i tend to go for Samsung, we have a smart tv - series 6 55" 3D LED tv and i cannot fault it.
As for phones, i always went Nokia but jumped on the stingy Apple bandwagon, bought a iphone 4 and was so disappointed i couldn't change anything with it, shit message tones ect. That was until i stumbled upon the iphone dev team and jail broke my phone. Now she has everything, i love the customization JBing gives you, free games which i "try before i buy" of course.

Cars Subaru, 4wds Nissan!

The rest i am pretty easy about. Guess you could say i follow mainstream society :(

Greg, Bendix pads for the D22 are woeful.

You get brake shuddering and overheated disks quick and no brake feel whatsoever.

I had em in for 5000km's and put genuine pads back in. Heaps better braking.

Brand loyalty varies. Had Nokia phones for years, and went with an iPhone last time, primarily because of the software and work applications making it tax deductible, and very much a time saver. Hands don't get too grubby at work, so the old touch screen works for me :)
Partly enticed because the last computer I bought was a Mac, and it has sat there and just worked for 5 and a half years, haven't had to open it up once, fiddle with the registry, replace bits, uninstall viruses etc. The amount of time it has saved means the next one will also be a Mac, to be bought soon. I've got a Windows laptop for work, a brand name one, and for reliability, the Mac just poops all over it.

Motors, well, I've had a Chrysler, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Dunnydore, Falcon, Fiat, Opel (German dunnydore effectively), Camry, Laser, the Navara and now a Land Rover, so you tell me. I've never bought new, and usually 5yrs old plus (sometimes double plus, like the Navara), so individual history is much more important than brand.
Clothing? Big W because it's cheap and you can be in and out quick and back to more fun stuff. And who's got time to watch telly these days? Dr Who on a Saturday night does it for me, current Rugby world cup excluded.
