IZ passed away a few years ago. What a voice and atmosphere he creates though.
Missus doesn't know it yet but this will be our wedding song.....aaaawwwh.
Apparently we are signing the papers next year. 10 years together has proven that we irritate each other enough that perhaps we should continue doing it for the rest of our lives! :sarcastic:

I heard that song a couple of days ago at the funeral of a friend, I was really moved by it, I had never heard it before and didn't know who it was, what a voice. They played his version of 'What a wonderful world' aswell.

well i have Brad Paisley, Lee Kernaghan, Kenny Chesney, Kenny Rogers, Sugarland, well i am pretty sure that you are getting the idea that i am a bit of a country nut... but that is part of the joy of have an 80Gb ipid hooked up permanently!!!

Man, I'm learning a lot here, sugarland? What was the other one pootrol10 (kingcab 08)mentioned? F something, I'll check in a sec.
Some new music for me to checkout!
Funny how everyone agrees on Pink Floyd.. timeless. And yes, fleetwood Mac, great driving music.
Can't beat Dave though, the tweelth man and wired world of sports... "pearce off gibbs on" "what did you say"

Sorry to hear about you mate Matt.

The first time I heard that song was on 51st dates.

Great movie and song.

Marcus, Jarrod McCracken. The blocker interview. Lol.

Bill and Tony at each each other. Lol.

Dave.

2 songs that send shivers down the spine late at night are "Travis Sinclair - The boy in the aerodyne" and "Slim Dusty - Something in the Pilliga" especially in the middle of the night at around 2am driving.

Australian Yowie Research - Pilliga - 1979

The first I heard about was in this song. Haven't come across what is mentioned so cant say much more about it.

Dave.

Been listening to the radio mostly but will usually have Led Zeppelin 1 in the player.

Cheers Brad

Israel Kamakawiwo'ole's songs are bordering on Opera.

The only 2 types of music I hate are Eky music and screamo (the angry at mum and dad stuff)

Gotta agree there, first time I heard Boy in the Areodyne I was driving one at 3am. I looked to my left!

Saw Travis a few times (must check for his new album) even got him to sign a wedding invitation with his name on it. He wasn't at the wedding but we used one of his songs and when we saw him a few months later he was happy to sign it.

As a truck driver the other song that occasionally sends shivers down my spine and arguably one of the most renowned Australian trucking songs every is "Lights On The Hill". Given that Joy wasn't a truck driver (despite the many miles her and Slim drove) she managed to get so much of that song right.

Yeah as long as it's not the new version some wannbe group released a few years back. I'm all for what the song is about but their version was nearly as bad as Madonna's American Pie.

Johnny Williamson does a ripper version of it...

Talking about the herds version i think, aussie hip hop group?

Ive usual got my ipod on shuffle, all 13000 songs, huge range from punk rock to country to death metal, dance, house, pop etc.. but blink 182, gyroscope and limp bizkit deffintely get the most rotation.

Yeah the first time I heard it on the New England highway up near Muswellbrooke at about 2.30am. Didn't catch the name of the song so googled when I got home.

Yeah lights on the hill is a good song to.

Since you drove trucks Krafty, heard many stories about the Pilliga Yowie ?

I will second Josh's comment on Blink 182, 28 day - Rip it up gets a work out to.

Dave.
