Title pretty much describes it, im looking at getting 33" Mickey Thompson MTZ's Will be getting 2+2 Lift, just wondering what offset and mods ill need to do to a 2003 STR to fit them? Thanks

pushing 33's I would change the tie rods and fit an idler arm brace

I have seen a few d22's with 32's break std tie rods, even a std d22 will snap tie rods easily, they really are a weak point
I would then do the egr mod and fit a chip and exhaust

as for the offset...no fkin idea, but the answer is in here somewhere, try a search?

welcome to the forum btw

Thanks heaps Sparra, im new to the whole 4x4 world also, only just recently bought mine, trying to keep up with my mate in his Hilux ahah, so 33's almost out of the question you think? might be better to stick with 32's?

I wouldn't say its out of the question
imo they look great with 33's
they just need a bit of extra work to support larger wheels, with what I have seen
good excuse to beef up the whole front end
have a look at superior engineering's gear

and you should keep up with your mates hilux with a std d22 no worries

cheers

Yeah, don't take this the wrong way mate but if you're new to fourbying maybe also consider doing a 4wd course?

They will teach you techniques and skills that will help you protect your machine and the environment, heck the hilux may eventually battle to keep up with you!

Yeah thats the plan Jason, I would love to find a good 4wd course around the Newcastle/Sydney area in Australia if anyone is there hahaha!
