hey guys.
spent most of today putting my new susp in. everything was goin good until i tried to pull the leaf out. it looks like the bushes have decided to become one with the bolt and the leaf.
just wanting to know if anyone else has had this problem, if so how did you fix it?
next step will be getting a grinder cause my knuckles cant take anymore of hitting the side step trying to pry it out.:banghead:

I have heard of some using Oxy set to burn the rubber.
I used a grinder to cut ends off and then made a press type of thing with a length of thread bar and nut to push out if this makes sense.

got a mate whos a plumber so might hit him up to come round.
i knew somethin was gonna stuff up after it only took me half an hour to do the front.

i had this happen too, i used a butane burner to heat the big end of the pin until the bush melted and pulled it out, gotta do it a couple of times as the bush solidifies and needs to be melted again

I spent about an hour with a hacksaw blade in a blade handle I had and cut through the bolt either side of the spring inside the hanger.

9" with a cutoff wheel, up between the leaf & the chassis.
This is a common problem with D22s & that's why i always supply new greaseable pins with new suspension kits
Cheers

i was lucky
mine came out easy
sprayed it with penetrene for a few days
and used a FBH

Like sparra i was lucky mines a 04 model and everything came out like teflon, Also same as sparra gave it a spray in advance

ended up getting a mate to give me a hand with grinding them out.
threw him a pair of safety specs to wear only to get a " ill just safety squint" reply. new something was gonna happen aftrer this comment. sure enough the grinder hit the ground still spinning, apparently the squint worked that well he wasnt able to see the grinding wheel grab and fly back into his hand.
