hello new member though i have asked question before i paid membership. Now im sure theres a section on this but being new i cant seem to find how you search for topics. Have 2008 nissan navara yd diesel 2.5 spanish built in Australia i got this car after someone changed clutch and fuel filter and was not running and still wont run, it turns over tries to start but wont start ive replaced the scv replaced the fuel pressure relief valve replaced the crank angle sensor have done the fuel learning reset have removed gearbox and checked flywheel timing has new glow plugs and have removed them and tested them have bled fuel system up to injectors releasing injector line diesel just weeps but its there have put scan tool on vehicle no codes did live scan while winding engine over getting between 20k to 30k KPa fuel pressure have removed cam angle sensor wire to test fuel pump timing removed scv wire to try full pressure start did same with fuel pressure sensor This car was running ok when it went to get clutch changed and fuel filter change the so called mechanic dropped vehicle off to previous owner starting it by towing it ran rough and wouldnt start again i know i should check injectors next but this car was running and should start even if it runs rough and injector would need to leak a lot to stop it and that failure woud've occured while sitting getting clutch changed why they went to a electronic fuel system is a mystery to me all it does is give to many reasons for car not to start or run properly when mechanical pump did everything easy tune easy fix. So im at a total loss it cranks almost starts but wont even if i spray aero start into system the egr is blocked off also Any ideas??? new fuel also if i get this running will be reposting the fix as i believe im missing something simple cheers

I know nothing about D40's, but this sounds like it could possibly be an Immobiliser issue? How does the immobiliser work on a D40? I'm wondering if NATS controls the injectors as part of the immobiliser system? Is there a chip in the key, or is it in the fob? If it's in the key, maybe try using the spare key? I had a similar issue in a Pajero that was being caused by a damaged key. The immobiliser in those disables the fuel pump & I had the same symptoms you're having. You can buy blank keys & fobs fairly cheaply on Ebay, but then you'd need to get them coded to the car by a locksmith.
