The Valentine 1 is detectable by police though so only for use in WA, if driving in other states, beltronics make really good units that are undetectable .

Hey gadget do you rate this unit?

There are a few very new ones out not cheap but a single unit that sits on ur dash which will pick up hand lazers about 3-5 seconds before they lock onto you enouth to jump on the anchor they are so sensitive they pick up the sensor from servos as u drive up to them depending on how you have them set up! And also undetectable even with detector detectors.. Escort is the brand off memory.

So I drove through my first speed Camera yesterday. Yes the detector went nuts about 200m out but I actually saw it visually before my detector picked it up. Im not usually a lead foot and would have never considered buying a detector but as I said I won it in a raffle so I though stuff it it can sit in the Nav. I believe driver vigilance is the best way to avoid speed cameras and you take the risk of being fined for exceeding the limit if you choose to speed

I am in WA and drive with mine on the dash quite often. I ain't a racer but have it as extra security. Mine is a so called "un detectable" carbon fiber blah blah blah, bought it years ago for nearly $2000 when I owned my WRX. It has saved me plenty of times as well.

The thing I like best is when I am listening to music it buzzes off like crazy when emergency vehicles are in the area or road works which is excellent if you can't see/hear them. It is annoying when driving past servos though :(
