P0732 AT 2nd gear fault

Hey guys

mate of mine got a D40 thats coming up with P0732 which is a fault related to the 2nd gear function of the Auto trans.

Any previous experience or ideas?

Hoping the trans isnt Kaput

Its strange because the cars still working fine.

Clear it and see if it comes back up again. sometimes a sensitive sensor may through a code but nothing is actually wrong. can happen if there's been a power interruption or the like.
Worth a try.

Transmission fluid would be the first thing to check. I was reading this page and it recommends that as a first step - it makes sense. Read the whole page to learn about how the error code is thrown, it's enlightening.

Should of been more clear in the OP. Tried to clear it already will not clear. did read in the nissan book about dirty AT fluid causing issues so could change that. Although weird why only the one thing is effected. I thinking its electrical fault of some kind at this stage.
