Out of fuel

Hello. I ran out of fuel today and I’ve just put new fuel in. Am I right by saying I prime it at the fuel filter until solid then try to start?

Thanks mate. All good. Got her going. Just stressed myself out a bit being a diesel and not having this issue before. Thanks for your reply.

Prime bulb till firm then crank. About 1 to 70 or so seconds you will be fine.
