Just joined, glad to see a vehicle forum up and running for us. I have a 9 month old D40 diesel auto that spends half its life dragging 2 tonnes of Spaceland pop top caravan.
My main field of endeavour is electrics rather than the mechanical side. I started vehicle electrics in the late 50s when i improved the lighting on my Austin 8 and then overhauled its generator regulator. I have been involved in battery charging and solar all my working life, from portable transceivers to large telephone type battery banks and remote solar powered radio stations. If anyone has any questions on electrics then feel free to ask me.
