I commend those that made the journey. I awoke all prepared to go and it was still raining as it had for most of the night. Fired up the "BOM" site and saw what was in stall. Closed down the "BOM" site and went back to bed. Whilst laying in bed beside my spouse of numerous years and with no children in the house a thought came to mind. Shit I must be getting old and losing my sense of adventure as a bit of wet weather wouldn't have stopped me before. As I lay in bed all comfortable and dry she rolled over and looked into my one good eye another thought came to me that eased my guilt for not making the effort that with "age comes wisdom & sensibility" And a few more hours of sleep was enjoyed by both after she uttered "Don't even think about it" and rolled back the other way.
Sorry I didn't make it hope we can arrange another gathering at some time.

Just got back. I had a ball.
Even though the tracks were closed we were still able to have a play around in a few sections. Should be a lot of photos and videos to come.
Ohh and for Gonzo and LJacko, We made it up that hill in the end.

Yer it didn't get any better We went home 2 still raining , I hope Ray can get his camper out ok !

Tell ya what, it was a bit touch and go even just trying to get past the toilet block at the campground. All 4 wheels just spinning trying to get up the first incline, did make it out but it was close. When these Pirelli ATRs are done, full muddies are going on. Thanks Russ for following close behind, was nearly going to have to hook the camper up to your Nav!

Well nearly everyone did. The old ATRs still with 36psi in them got about halfway up, same on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th attempts. Then while reversing back down I just decided to park in front of a shrubby tree and have a rest, :rambo:. Couldn't go forwards, couldn't go backwards, so waited for Brodie to come back and then we had some winching action happening. Livened the arvo up a bit !

Unfortunatley, I don't think we got any pics or vids of that ..........

Just continuing the weekends fun, I got stuck in Gympie with the flooding on the way home as well..... Overnight in Bris almost same time last year I got stuck in maryborough

Yeah right it was 15min between when you got stuck and when brodie got back from the shop with his winch. I think that gave russ time to take about 1000 photos.

had a good time after you left too ray. plenty of flying mud and 4th gear circle-work.

Ahah it was nice the mud but dam was it crap to clean. Both rub wheel arches were cakes atleast 6" thick. I have a massive dent in my bash plate so they have to come off to be modded and straightened and refitted. My guess is there is still atleast a 20l bucket full of mud on the bashplates. As for what has come off the car in 2 3/4 hours is 2x20l buckets pressed in.

Those photos will be going on computer tonight then ill sort, resize, stick them on Photobucket and YouTube and copy onto forum. Should be fun. Is def a go for a dry wknd.

Russell in the hilux an I went exploring and went through about 6 creek crossings , Did wonders for washing mud off It took about 4 and a half hours to get back to Ippy . Lot of places I've never seen before

unfortunately there were no creek crossing for me on the way home. well 1 but it was only was like 2" deep.

well worked out to be 450 photos and aound 20 videos

only taken 67minutes to upload to computer

Did you come back through Boonah, and hang a right to go to Beaudesert Russ? The causeway there was flooded nicely, managed to get rid of a lot of mud by driving through the deepest bit of flooded road, (1-1 1/2 foot), still took a couple of hours to clean the Nav and trailer when we got home though.

I had an awesome time despite the rain, looking forward to seeing some pictures and videos. was glad I had the muddies on they definitely helped in the peer pressure situations haha, na was glad I had a go at every thing.

Unfortunately I couldn’t be bothered cleaning the nav when I got home so I think I will be regretting that tomorrow arvo.

ive managed to get 450 pics to 87 so i have to down size them and put them on photobucket and ill post them up. for some reason my vids are very scetchy. oh yeh ray the wife found the video recording function. its a wierd setup but it works.

stuff will be up during the week, got other bits that may take priority during the week liek fixing bashplates and finishing dual battery setup

Some good photos there. Cheers Luke.
I am keen to head out again when it is dry. I spent the majority of the day cleaning the mud off the ute.
My bash plate is well and truly beaten, nothing a hammer and a vice wont fix.
Should be some more photos once everyone gets around to it.

here is some photos from the whole wknd. i had 450 then down to 87, obiously im not gonna poke 87 pictures up so ive chosen a handful. firstly the cars to start
