I found when I was in South Africa the parts were significantly cheaper there than here.

I've had mine serviced by our local Nissan dealership and in came back with a cooper fuel filter, like seriously if Nissan don't use their own ...

they dont even use their own oils???


I think they're still holding on to the good 'ol days where you had to go to them for parts and they charged accordingly.

Imagine if you dare, Nissan price some of their gear a little more reasonably, maybe some of us would buy more stuff from them (and they make more).

where have we read stuff like that before....

Tho the nissan filter paper has a slighty different 'micron' rating and the 'bypass valve' is also rated a different pressure...only 1 or 2 psi but different all the same, and maybe enough for nissan to dispute a claim.

Also, as a matter of interest for some people, Gladstone nissan uses castrol oil, not "genuine" nissan oil.

I'm pretty sure none of them do...
but its about the owner doing his/her own oil changes and the potential of a warranty claim knockback cause you dont use the recommended oils.

i rang nissan to ask about a service price for my d40 engine oil /filter and the air filter and the 2 fuel filters it has standed is $960 i went to anonther shop 3 mins down the road with all nissan filters and dpf aproved oil i got it serviced for $450

How many K's service were you quoted $960 for? Going by alot of responses on here that's either damn expensive for a minor service or cheap for a major service. (At Nissan prices)
