Help wiring switch for led light

Yeah just tried that way Krankin, no good, my work light is earthed to the chassis at the back of the car.
It's gotta be the switch itself, I'll swing by the auto elec 2moz.

Here is a schematic for reverse/work light

I had a 3 way switch. on-off-on with reverse
