Read that as RANGER... As in RANGER TIM... Not Ford Ranger ... Story is funnier then :)

What's Tims Thicket like this time of year? Myalup was all grooved and rutted up (LET YA TYRES DOWN YA TWATS!) and was a little boggy (not for the Nav though, she just lightly tiptoed across the sand.. hehe)

Hahaha

Wasn't too bad. Fairly soft, I aired down to 18psi and didn't have any issues. Had to have a few goes at getting back out at white hills rd end, was very soft there. Just couldn't get any grip, so had to get a bit of a run up... may have been different if I had slightly bigger tyres hahaha. Still have the nearly worn out stock 265 70s on at the moment...

Egts go up insanely quick though. Even low range second in a few soft spots it gets up over 260c in no time. I've seen them up close to highway egts, 300ish too in some areas. Definitely gives the motor a nice load to help clean it out hahaha

Seeing all the sand dunes around perth just makes me wanna get an air compressor so I can play in the sand 😔

Interesting! I need to make up a list of goodies I plan on spending my healthy tax cheque on when I get back to Adelaide.

Hahah. I know nathan did a thread ages ago now about a few different compressors and that one came out on top. I'll have to have a squiz and see if I can find it again...

I'm gonna see if I can get one mates rates from somewhere lol

First on the list is roof racks so I can attach my awning. I want it installed by Australia Day weekend

I picked up a 190L/m dual bore compressor on eBay... Was $149 delivered..

I have inflated everything with it (except my ego...) and it's like the energiser bunny - keeps going and going...

If it died tomorrow, i would have more than got my monies worth... So eBay is your friend....

Link didn't work bodie lol

Don't even start! I'm going with clamp on but I haven't decided which yet, definitely not pro rack after all it's bad flack

Just remember, get decent "pegs" to hold your awning down.. Something that can bite into the dirt... Otherwise a little gust of wind and your awning is wailing all over your lovely Nav and you're crying out "OH NO!"...

Working now haha

Dunno what happened the first time lol

Hahahha.. I wish these had spots from the factory to just mount the cross bars without using clamps and shit. ...

You've also got rola you can throw in the mix lol, just to make it more interesting. .. not sure what their clamps are like though...

Stop talking I don't wanna know. I have another week of holidays then I'll be back to building my nav lol
