Mine NP300 is not a good example for fuel economy it has a big wind brake on the back. and 2500kg

Still not too bad mate. Mine is staying on 8.1lt/100. Mostly hwy work unless I go hunting/beach work. The mighty bull bar from ARB and side rails kill it a little.

Looking at the instant fuel use when you shut down the engine.
Around town I can get 7.4-8l/100
But Hway 10.9-12/100
should be the other way around
I use it for work and travel a lot was hoping to get 1500+km from the long range tank.

Yep not sure on that one. I have had the best @ 6.4l/100
When i do a run I am around the 7l or less. I do't have a big box on the back either though.

But when calculating, it is actually consuming 8.4L/100kms.
