I dont think you get what i mean, on mine the reason the mudflap is shaped to come out a little into the arch is because its shaped around the metal part of the panel

Lasoya, if u look at the inside top section of the mudflap a piece comes out into the arch, cut this section off an you'll hav no problems. i cant see why you'd need to cut away any metal or panel? easy as with a sharpe knife and it wont look any different when its done. mine cleares with plenty of room with stock suspension, recently put a 2" lift on and it doesnt even come close to scrubbing. hope this helps

I agree totally with keyzey.

Best results if you take the mudflap off to do the cutting.

The mudflap is already cut away where the tire will hit, below in the pic its actually metal panel that it will scrape if i go bigger than 245/75/16 atm ( corner of mudflap is already worn away and its metal you can see), i need to clear about 20mm off to get 265's under

I don't mean to sound like a cheeky prick - but are you certain they are 245 and not 285?

na mate you shouldn't have to, i have standard height nav with new 265/75/16 mickey thompson ATZ 4 ribs and not even they rub on full lock when i'm driving on the roads, yes when front wheel is turned going up an embankment but thats it, i'll put few picks and see if it helps, when i turn wheel the closest it gets is 10mm, where my finger is pointing to on photo is all you need to cut, it shouldn't be no more than that, photo 3 is the closest it gets

mine is a 02 as well and my tire chart says same thing , normally a lift will help clear them problems, your details say you have 2inch lift, did you buy car with the lift or you had it done?? there is something very different here

I have an 09 d22 STR running 265,75,16 and no hint of rubbing or clearance issues.

My 2c The body mounts, guards, chassis, control arm mounts to chassis vary enough over the years that even though the d22 appears the same there are differences.

Your placard will say 265/70/16, mine says 255/70/16, so something must be different between 03 and 04. No i have not had it since new, i dont know what offset the rims are but they are 16x8's, id say the offset is some of the reason why is scrapes

Are they factory rims? I think what Aido said is part the problem. There's something majorly wrong though. A 245/75 is 4mm smaller than a 265/70 overall dia. A 255/70 is 10mm less than the 245, you're only going up 10mm from factory, and less than a 265/70! I think all years state 255/70 on the tyre placard... I'll check when i get in the car...

Aftermarket rims mate, its no biggie ill just get some panel work done so i can fit the bigger size tire when im next due for a set

Hey heata, alex from the BBQ showed me his brand new Mickey thompson 265/75's on standard rims with no lift, he cut a little bit of plastic but no hassle. Don't even think he's touched the torsion bars, hasn't had it long, brand new I think.

My 265/75/R16 BFG Mud Terrain KM2s fitted perfectly on a 2010 D22 with no suspension mods (other than new shocks) perfectly.

i got 265/75/16 mt atz on stock rims no lift and no dramas at all, check few posts back and i put photos showing my clearances, rims are definitely personal choice i'd say

Hey dudes, got some 2nd h's to try it out, BFG at's about 60%. Stock suspension, no rubbing, when I get new set will be bloody close, so yep small cut may be required.
Haven't noticed any power loss down low or anything really strange, differences are very minimal. Happy with result do will run these down and probably get a new set. Cheers
