Hi All
2012 St vsk with the electronic turbo actuator .
The trouble I'm having is when I start the car the actuator arm dose not move at all . Drives with no boost until about 2500 rpm then the turbo seems to kick in.
If I pull over leave the car running I unplug the turbo actuator and as soon as I plug it back in the arm jumps to a different position and moves like it should when giving it a rev.
Drives perfect with boost throughout the entire rev range .

But problem happens everytime I restart the car . Like the ecu doest talk to the electric actuator until I do the unplug replug.

Any help would be amazing 🙏

There was a recall by Nissan on this actual component. I don't remember the actual symptoms but you could try either asking Nissan if your VIN has been in for that recall, or get in touch with a wrecker and get one off a similar vehicle (Central Coast Wreckers, 02 4352 2443 at Wyong would be a good choice).

Thanks for the response.
Was the recall on the actuator?
Because it is a new turbo and actuator installed on the ute. So might be something else underling.
Could it be a computer issue ?

If it's new, then it won't be the actuator, which was the subject of the recall.

I wonder if the ECU is having an issue with processing the data to/from it? The ECU is obviously capable of managing it, but what if there's something causing the ECU to interpret the signals poorly until it's plugged in again? That could be a earth path problem.

Have a look near the ECU (black box high up on the vehicle right hand guard near the back of the engine bay). There should be an earth point nearby. On 2011-2013 models (maybe 2014 too) there were some reports of the earth point being erratic, Nissan apparently didn't remove the paint and the screw didn't make perfect contact. Remove the screw, clean everything well, install it so that it's got a guaranteed contact then spritz some paint on it to keep it from oxidising.

See if that works. Also take a look at the battery connections (including fusible links). Make sure everything there is fairly clean too.
