As others have stated, diesel specific oils are better. I wouldn't have thought Sydney's climate would require a 5W-30. I'd go 10W-40 or 10W-50 personally.

N.A.T.S. = Nissan Anti Theft System?? As @MANNING suggested it sounds like fuel leak or air ingress. But... the more info the better. Any strange noises if/when it's running? Can you smell diesel in the bay or back near the tank? Does it have full power when it drives? Battery healthy?

Might be worth clearing any stored ECU codes too. Maybe the old BCS triggered something when it was buggered?

Maybe the actuator is dying? If the diaphragm is only half buggered it might hold vacuum initially & then bleed out quickly? (I'm assuming the VNT failsafe logic is designed to open the vanes...? i.e. fail = no boost)

That doesn't seem right, but I'm not sure it's broken. My YD25 D40 does a similar thing, where it pulls the boost down a little after the initial surge, but it's more subtle than what you're seeing. Are all your vacuum lines in good condition?
