Glad to hear it all ended good, not sure about the $400 and not dropping the tank, but at least its going and the pump ect are fine.

Glad it's back running. I would highly HIGHLY recommend a second filter soon. After spending last Friday with a diesel tech you can never be too safe with your common rail systems. Right from the point of filling up. Extra few bucks and change it your self may still save you money down the track. Hope all goes good.
