September is the best month to go to Chaco, or just about anywhere in the South Western United States.
Everything is at its greenest here, most of the blossoms are and wildlife are out this time of year.

One of the Chacoan outliers is as far away from Chaco Canyon itself as Bluff, Utah.
Not much to look at, a small portion of wall was dug out and then sheltered with a roof and walls.
The surroundings however were very pleasing to the senses.
