STX550 Fuel consumption

Check the intercooler & hoses, mine normally does around 9l/100km, intercooler split and now doing 14l/100km and down on power. Getting fixed next week, looking forward to that

I have a 2011 ST-X550. I drive it pretty hard around town and average 10.3-10.6 / 100kms. Today i dropped it in to have EGR replaced as orange warning light came on last Friday. They need to keep it overnight to sort out error as they have not been able to sort out ECU. Lucky they gave me a loan car. Most times very little smoke but on occassions if you stick the boot in it does give a bit of a puff or sometimes starting in morning. Just gone over 37,000 km's. Love it otherwise as it has plenty of go.

fuel consumption

just picked up mine 2 weeks ago and driving back from the gold coast to mackay it was doing 8.2 lt. sitting on 105-110kms and overtaking from time to time. haven't towed anything yet. so far this week driving around town its sitting at 10.2lts

That sounds very high fuel comsumption I have a stx 550 also and have just come back from a 5500 trip from Perth to Broome and averaged 15-16L / 100km towing 5.2 m van at 100 to 110 km/h if I slow down to 90 it improves to 13l/100. Not towing the van average is 10/11l/100 at 110 km/h and if I drop down to 80 to it will do 8 l/100 around the city approx. 10.
