My AC has stopped working. The clutch does not engage.
I've checked the relay and fuses and they seem OK. Worst case if the compressor is stuffed, how big a job is it to change. Not looking at doing it myself, but going to ask the local Nissan dealer to have a look at it next service. Just an idea of man hours is what I'm after to pre-empt a BIG bill from Nissan. Thanks

Hi mantaray,
Not a hard job to change. It can all be done from the left hand wheel arch.
Remove the wheel and the plastic arch and everything is reasonably easy to get at. You do have to have the gas removed (if there is still gas in it) before removing the pipes. It would pay to replace the o rings when putting back together.
I sourced a compressor (clutch, pulley and oil all included) for less than half of what Nissan want and it is made by the same manufacturer that Nissan use!
Took 2 hours start to finish plus re gas.
Nissan will likely insist on a new receiver/dryer and tx valve as well.
