New Member just bought a Navara Tekna (2011)

Hi All,

Just bought a Navara Tekna D40 (2011).

Nice drive, with all the extras. 5 seater, satnav etc.
Only issue is the TUB has a fair chunk of rust towards front wheel arches.
Considering a full TUB swap or a fiberglass and filler patch job.
Advice anyone?

Did a pre MOT and the only issue is the rest as there is a hole.

You could go either way. As long as the structural part of the tub is sound and the rust is only in a decorative panel, completely removing the rust, treating the metal then fibreglassing the area shouldn't be an issue.

Then again, full tubs are not hard to find. There are quite a few people who want alloy trays rather than tubs, leaving a surplus of tubs around.
