steering is hard but only 1 way

Hi all, having a slight issue with my D40, after a skid around in the sand the steerimg has become quite hard to turn left, turns right 99% of the time with no problem, but turning left and centring the wheel after turning is hard.
Any ideas ??

I'd wonder about the power steering pump. How's its oil level?

Power steering oil is fine, sitting a mm or 2 under the full line, got me stumped hey

Is it possible that the vehicle landed heavily on one of the front wheels, like after it crested a dune?

Sounds like something got bent or a trackrod end is cactus

I found there was a rather large tear in the boot where the uni joint is on the steering shaft, ive sprayed a half can of lube in the uni and its gotten a lot easier to steer, not 100% but yeah, im thinking it needs a new uni in the shaft
