Steel vs Alloy Wheel nuts

Hey folks,

Just noticed with the steel wheels on now that even after checking them after installation all the nuts were loose on my front wheels.

Is there a different nut that I need to use on Steel Wheels instead of the ones that came with the Alloy rims?

Oh and stubb specs are 12mm x 1.25 in case y'all need to know.

Ive still got the same wheel nuts with my sunnies that i had with my alloys and havent come loose once, just tighten the up more i guess

Oroiginsl wheel nuts here aswell with steels. No loose nuts here and never had an issue. As suggested tighten then up a lil more

got a pic of the wheel and nuts?
in particular the contact surfaces on the nut and rim.

the wheel nuts on the alloys on the other 4x4 are a completely different style to the steel rim nuts.

next time you do your wheelnuts up, make sure all the surfaces are free of dirt and put never seize or grease on the studs. This will allow you to tighten the nuts up properly and they wont come loose.

One freak incident I guess as I always apply grease and recheck tension.
