I've had it a few times where i go from high beam to low beam but the spotlights stay on (the headlights change to low). And also had it happen once that i turned the lights off all together and the spotlights stayed on (was out shooting at the time, and even had the key out) so i just pulled the power wire out of the relay from the battery. any thoughts as to why this would be happening?
cheers

Relay sticking?

Give it a tap with something solid next time it happens and see if it releases.

thanks guys, its only done it a couple of times in the 6 months since i put them in

Check where your relay is installed. Those cheap ****** Narva ones in the black box don't like getting too hot. Extended use and engine bay heat can make the terminals stick in the on position.

i havent done anything yet lol, i was waiting to see if it will happen again, or should i just do it anyways?

For the cost of the relay - can't be too far from the$10 mark - you may as well pull it and replace it.

Otherwise you risk being on high beam and having dipped your lights, they remain on and it'll just be your luck that the oncoming vehicle is the president and vice pres of the Bandidos.
