If you disconnect the battery at anytime it will flash for a short time. But after that she's all good.

you will find there is nothing wrong. Its meant to flash when the temp is 3 or below to indicate the hazard of ice. Remember these are European designed trucks . Thats standard in most new cars with temp read outs

Very interesting read. Got a bit lost at times! Couple of probably stupid questions....What are scanguages? Am I right in saying my new 2010 ST D40 will not be able to do this mod?

Thanks Shaun

The ScanGauge is a digital readout that plugs into the cars computer and gives accurate readings from the truck.Basically gives the right readings the dash doesnt.
I think , now not sure, but I think the temp sensor only works in Spanish Built trucks. Maybe someone can verify this.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there a link in this forum for a topic on the scanguage? Do they stay in the car? Are they expensive?

Thanks Shaun

They dont have to stay in the car. You can set them up to go in different cars . I mounted mine on the dash

I haven't stuck my head behind the grille of a 2010 ST model so can't say for sure. Perhaps one of our readers that has one can take a look and see if there's a socket in the cable run that goes across the front of the radiator. It should have 4 pins in it, and be about 20mm across.

I don't know if the dash of the ST has the readout in it either. Is there a place for it, below the clock?

I think I have found the connection. Is this what it looks like? It was behind the radiator on the passenger side.

It also looks like there is room below the digital clock in the display

Am I on the right track? This is the 2010 D40 ST

Thanks Shaun

Nope,

It won't work on a Thai build.

My socket looked similar but was on the grill side of the radiator. I had to reach up through a hole in the bottom of the bullbar to get to it.
