Hey y’all! Starting on restoring my 2000 Nissan Hardbody D22 SE… I’m new here, I’m Dean from Seychelles (Small archipelago in the Indian Ocean ), and I wanted to share my process as I go along… anyway, its a manual 4x4, has a QD32, and the manual wheel locking hubs. I got a donor rig, (2008 Nissan hardbody 4x2 ZD30 twin cab) in pretty great shape with a solid rear axle. Still in good enough shape, most parts are redone on it, and I wanted to make the most of the donor cab. It’s honestly the first time I’ve worked on an older vehicle, I’ve mostly been working on cars from 2013 and later, never a diesel, or anything bigger than a crossover, so, I’m not sure how challenging it would be… looking forward to work on it and learn new things, in the series, I’ll probably ask a lot of questions on things I’m not sure off, like first, which is better, the solid open diff axle or the original LSD individual rear leaf spring suspension?
I’m going to attach pictures of my rig and the donor rig, and will update as I go along! Looking forward to hearing inputs from you guys!
