G'day Lounge Lizards!

I have booked the Patrol to have a 4 terrain h/duty clutch kit fitted on Monday before i fit the new TDO5 United Fuel Injection Ye-haa turbo and my new Cross-Country intercooler.

I would have done this myself, however with me suffering from Crohns disease and having a my stoma (bowel bag on) i did not want to do any further damage to my bowel trying to lift the heavy gear-box and transfer case in and out.

Note the thickness of the pressure plate!

G'day Trendsetters!

My 3inch exhaust system just arrived 15 minutes ago from Scott's Rods in Queensland. Not bad for $650.00 for a full 3 inch mandrel bent system delivered!

G,evening Lounge Lizards!

Well I have just fitted the easiest exhaust system in years!

I have fitted over 7 systems to my Patrols and Navara’s over the last 10 years. These include 2 x Beaudesert systems, 2 x Taipan and two custom made jobs. The Scott’s Rods 3 inch 4.2 TD GU Patrol Wagon one has been the easiest to install.

I was impressed with how quick it all fitted up and all for $590.00 delivered. Wait there’s more, they even sent me a $25.00 discount docket to be given to a friend to use, they even sent a solid pen and key-ring.

It is easy to see why the factory system is so restrictive!

When installing exhaust systems, i always use a good copper exhaust gasket adhesive!

Note: every time i have fitted a 3 inch system to a Patrol, i have found it easy to use the hi-lift jack to lift the arse end up, to get the tail pipe section in!

G'day Trendsetters!

I fitted the new 3inch exhaust yesterday, what a difference that has made to the GU folks.

I also fitted up my boost gauge and took the beastie for a decent run around! Traveling at 100ks by the GPS and in fifth gear at 2000 RPM the factory boost reading was at 5 psi. Under-load and traveling at 100ks and in fifth gear at i was doing 2300 RPM and the boost reading was at 9 psi. It would be fair to say folks, that the factory boost is around 8 to 10 psi?

Looking forward to fitting both the intercooler and the Ye-Haa turbo soon!

RLI

Loving this thing!

G'evening Fatts!

Mate, i only paid $20,000.00 for her 14 months ago in Victoria. I sold the D40 for $29,000.00. I am using the $9,000.00 let over from the sale to build her up for the Cape trip!

I'm back in the bandwagon for a single cab patrol ute too.

G'evening Fatt's

Mate, the Patrol ute's are wicked! However, your Navara is a wicked and very capable off-road weapon! She will go anywhere you want it to go!
