Rear step. Can you step on it?

Just wondering if you are actually supposed to step on the rear step on the d40 Navara? I've been stepping on it recently when Im washing the hard lid and it looks like it's sagging already. On closer inspection the whole thing appears to be plastic?

I weigh 92 kgs and use the rear step on the D22 all the time. No probs at all as I had a look at the mounting brackets for the step when I changed it recently. Massively thick and sturdy, the bar/step itself could be a little thicker though,

The center section below the number plate is reinforced but the side pieces arent as strong but then arent as easy to step on. I have used mine a few times and no dramas so far .

What only 92 ? I can confirm the D22 step can take well over 120
