There is something wrong with castrating, I've done it at work and the idea of putting those balls in the ring just gives me the shivers. And the young lady vet said to me while her hands were bloody and holding a pair of testicles that for some reason she couldn't find a bloke,I wonder why

Or if she doesn't want to met Barney maybe he can warm his hands, get his castrating ring ready and meet the guy himself.

Hawks are good, but I prefer peregrine falcons.

We are talking about birds of prey, no?

No apeman there is a game of Keepings Off in Melbourne tomorrow apparently it's a big thing for some people.

Don't know the exact figure cause I haven't checked the rain gauge but it rained most of Wed night/Thur morn and it friggen pissed down on and off until about 3pm Thurs. We lost power for about 3 hours on Thurs too.

Actually I must remember to check BOM tonight, heard a news break before and the shelia reckoned gale force winds are coming back tomorrow, I thought we'd pissed them off for this week.

Gail was giving it her best go this arvo up this way, was up on a hill with a 360 view, only downside was getting pushed sideways

She didn't visit here today but I think even she knew she wore out her welcome yesterday.

Looks like news break was right winds are picking up again tomorrow, looks like the bitch is coming back. Doubt there is much rain in it but they are predicting thunderstorms.

You guys are complaining about the weather. It's ranged between 37-40 deg where we have been in the last week and a half. As for the football, wifie is a Hawks supporter and we can't move on until tomorrow because ringing ahead, it looks like there is only analogue transmission and no channel 7 coverage. Those with satellite say nobody is interested in watching so they won't be showing it at their venue.

Sounds odd because the pub here is having a AFL grand final party with prizes for the best dressed in football gear.

Who says footy rules some peoples lives (and those of their poor suffering families)?

Apart from the risk of bushfires, or fcukwits with matches heat doesn't bother me, pissing down rain and high winds annoy the shit out of me. Atleast in the heat I can do things going outside in a howling gale and pissing rain is just stupid.

I have no doubt footy rules some people lives, when I was a kid it did mine too and I have amassed so much Richmond and VFL memorabilia (and a 1 of a kind Grey Nichols World Series cricket bat with signatures which has nothing to do with football) that I should probably care more about the game than I do. I give AFL/VFL the credit it deserves in being the only mass played game today that was invented in Australia for Australians but since it became more about money and less about sport there is no fun in it for me. That being said I could never barrack for a team that comes from the same part of the world the inlaws do.

The old man,s got a portable satellite cause he loves his footy. They have been on the road for over 12 months and while traveling there's a lot of places with no tv reception, so the satellite hooked up to austar pay tv covers it all

Long suffering Tiger supporter Krafty? I feel your pain and understandable lack of interest :) Your annual sojourn is not to Hawthorn so I guess Hawthorn might have another, albeit disinterested, supporter today.

Dave, a sat dish would be a blessing if you are on the road for extended periods. We don't even have pay TV at home and generally don't get much time to watch stuff anyway. Probably get more time to watch telly on holidays.

We were going to be away 4 months this year but that has been postponed to 2014. 12 months would be bliss so I envy your parents.

Nah not long suffering, if anything I'm a poor loser because I gave up most things to do with football in the 80's when Richmond started loosing and then got interested in the NRL and started following the Storm when they joined. But in the years as a kid I collected all sorts of Richmond stuff and after my grand father died we found so much more Richmond memorabilia that I couldn't help get a little bit interested.

I'm not really going for anyone today but my young nieces are dead keen Hawks supporters and my inlaws all live near Freo so if I have to support one team the choice is obvious.

I thought between C7, Foxtel and the AFL they assured the signal got to just about everywhere in the world? I heard yesterday they have commentators calling the game in 10 different languages, surely the bastards can make a tv signal go around our own country.

We rang Georgetown, Mount Surprise, Undara and Mt Garnet and the only one who said they could get Channel 7 was in Georgetown and the bloke sounded pissed so we were not sure whether to believe him. At Undara they said they would keep the bar open so we could watch it on their satellite TV, only if there was enough interest.

It does seem pretty fanciful that they don't get Channel 7 and won't be showing the game?

So anyway, here we stayed and I will probably go fishing and catch some more catfish while the game is on. Can't stand hearing wifie scream.

It will probably be a terrible game anyway so think like you're missing nothing and fishing will be more enjoyable
