So we still haven't got the old 67 IH tractor going. Replaced the fuel filter and the fuel pump diaphragm yesterday, the diesel/brake fluid mix in the fuel tank has been drained and thankfully it appears there has been no further damage due to the engine not being started with the sabotaged mix in the tank. The fuel pumps freely to where it's suppose to by hand, all the injectors are working and the fuel tank is even clean of all the gunge thanks to the home made Cyedectin siphon pump we made.
We replaced the welch plug after finding out the dill who has been playing with the damn thing tried to put it in the wrong way and it of course wouldn't hold which lead him to tell us it needed a new 3/4 inch plug to fit into a 1 1/4 inch hole, not sure how he came to that conclusion but low and behold when you put the plug in the right way it bloody works.
Today we have to drain the oil out of the air filter because it's got water in it, we'll whack in a new air filter along with some new oil in the canister and then it's time to take her for a spin.
Going to tow her out onto the road with the Kubota and skull drag the bastard up and down the road until it starts rather than try and crank the shit out of the battery, the battery is in good nick but it's easier to use the second tractor than kill the battery since we know it will be a bitch to get going after being stopped for so long.
Could be a fun day with lots of cursing, yelling and throwing of tools when things don't go right, but if we succeed the injection of $60 and a few hours work will see the old girl come to life again, then we might even give it a grease and oil change since the sum oil is about as thick as custard, but atleast it's free from water unlike the air filter oil.
Just got to remember positive goes to ground and we will be fine!
