H233B is larger. It can be put in your D22 but it's a rear diff, not a front diff. Not much point replacing a C200 with a H233B unless you're doing tractor pulls or something.

VG33E powered D22 came with 4.625 ratio's. R200A front and H233B rear.

The C200 and the R200A use the same centre.

The R200A is a high pinion and the C200 is a low pinion setup.

The H233B centre used in the D22's and R50 Pathfinders is the same centre used in GQ and GU front diffs.

Same spline count etc.

The VG30E powered D22 run the same diff's as the VG33E powered D22 but use 4.375 ratio's like the ZD30 and the first of the YD25 powered D22's.

Then nissan started using 4.625 centre's and 3.9 diff gear in the YD25 powered D22's.

Thanks for the help fellas hopefully go pick the diff up this weekend, I'll let you guys know how it all goes

Have been reading this thread and looking on Patrol 4x4 and have a few question, my rear diff is one the way out still spins two on flat but any angle or change of surface it opens up so,
1. is H223B Petrol rear diff is a direct bolt in to a ZD30 D22?
2. Would you be able to swap a crown and pinion from a 4.375 patrol front diff in to the
D22 H223B Housing?
3. Would the LSD Centre in D22 H223B be the same as the one in the rear of the patrol? ie be able to shim it up tighter

I am asking this as i would like to preferably keep a LSD type centre maybe even a Detroit True Track centre in the rear instead of a air locker in the standard one.

so i got this today, i belive to be a r200, can anyone confirm?

measure the crownwheel? or the overall length against your r180?

ok, so i recently just put 33's on my truck. and i'm looking at doing the ratio swap (from 4.375 to 4.625?) to bring my power levels back to a more decent level. The ol' ZD30 is getting a little bogged down with the extra rubber. Needless to say i'm finding this all a little confusing and i don't quite know exactly what i need to get to make sure that i can just unbolt and bolt up the necessary parts.

any help would be majorly appreciated.

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, I am just trying to workout all these dif types and ratios if I ever break my stock R180A diff Ill know which type of R200A to get. Should I be looking at difks like these:

They are 4.3 ratio, one says HG43 which should be a R200A type, both seem to have the correct bolt pattern. My question is if these are the correct types of diff I would need, what else needs to be done to fit these? Joshy said the overall length was different so I wouldnt be able to use my old CVs? The R200A in the V6 navs use a shorter CV so the overall length of the R200 must b longer than an R180 correct? And you would need to use the corresponding V6 cvs to go with the new R200? Or can you use your old cvs off your R180 as the bolt pattern matches?
