Has anyone used / uses this oil , iam thinking of starting to use it , any comments or options welcome

I use the Nulon stuff suitable for DPF's and haven't had a problem with it since I started using it.

I use the nulon diesel longlife fully synthetic 5w-30 and have had no dramas. Its usually pretty cheap at supercheap on special. I am gonna give the castrol 5w-40 fully symthetic diesel oil a run next bottle.

is the penrite 5w-40 enviro no good for the d40's????? i'm trying to find a thread about what oil to use in our vehicles???? Russ

I used that Nulon long life stuff for about 40,000km. Not a problem with it. But then my lease finished, and I bought the car. No more service account for expenses :( Since paying for my own oil I've been using Shell HX7 semi-synth. Available nice and cheap on special, and no signs of sludge buildup.

Guys, tell me this---if there was a problem with an oil , what would it be that you could determine was the fault of the oil and the oil ONLY ?..and how would you come to that conclusion?

Hmmm....that's a big question. Are we talking loss of lubricating properties, or are we talking about sludge buildup (for example).

loss of power due to lack of compression is the most obvious one.
how much oil is used of a period of time.
loss of oil pressure.
