Greetings to all

I have a D40 (2012) that won't start. I was driving to work and suddenly the car just switched off. Now it starts after a labored crank but it dies soon after and won't start again. If a wait for a long time, a few hours or so it will start again but it will switch off again. I had the suction control valve but the issue continues and there are no fault codes when I run a scan.

One thing I found on one of the forum is that I should press the primer bulb underneath the fuel filter that deliver fuel to the front and after a few pumps (4 to 8) it should go solid but mine doesn't and there is a slight leak of diesel from underneath the filter which I will be installing tomorrow.

Basically I am asking for help in general, this problem is wrecking my brain. Thanks in advance.

Hi mate, how did you go? Did changing the fuel filter fix the issue? I have a similar problem and just want to see if it could be the same as mine.

I removed by primer bulb and cleaned it, it was dirty but it helped a little bit. I was told to bleed the system, did that it was fine. Until my dpf got clogged and killed my turbo.
