Need help with suspension

Hello all,

Iv just got myself an ARB delux combination bull bar to fit on my 08 D40.

Can any one tell me if i need to upgrade my stock suspension before fitting the bar or will the stock suspension be able to take the extra weight.

Any help or advice would be great cheers.

I fitted a arb bar and winch. it dropped the front by about 20mm. i left it for 12 months before i upgraded the suspension to toughdog... the bar alone should be ok but you will need heavyer springs eventually... if you haven't had the bonnet latch recall done yet nissan may udgrade your front springs if you get the recall done after fitting the bar...

You'll have this under the lid..

and Heavy Duty Springs. (if bullbar fitted)

I have the Deluxe bar with stock suspension and have not changed the springs yet.

Long term I will probably change front & rears but I am partial to the soft ride.

Hmm.....

I dont have one of those catches on my 08 D40.
Going in on wednesday for the wheel recall (part 2).
Will ask them about it.
