need help findine engine number

i have bought a 2010 D40 stx fom WA and need to get rejo changed over but i need a police cheack and they need to sight the engine number but i can not find the f**ka, i ran nissan and they said i may have to take tubo and altinator off to sight the number but even if i do this the cops will not come to my house so i may have to do all this at the cop shop... is there a easier way plz help

Look on the front of the engine just below the front end of the exhaust manifold. It should be there.
