Dont you think where you mounted your UHF is going to give you the shits driving and trying to change Chanel's??

It does come in handy if you have a remote for your garage door... Thats what i use it for anyway

yeah thats alright, i used to keep my phone in there

Hey mate, havent heard of these RAW 4x4 shockers before be interested to see what your thoughts are of them. Had a chance to use your winch yet? as for fitting the snorkel i have a nissan one sitting in the back ready to be installed. plenty of threads on here, and by reading around seems to be if your half handy and confident with your tools your better off doing it yourself and knowing its been sealed and fitted properly.

hey mate, I will let you know when i install them & what I think of them. I haven't had a chance to use the winch yet, I tested it when I installed it, worked well. not sure where I can go to use it. let me know how you go with the snorkel, I have been reading up on the threads. you are right there if you do it yourself you know its sealed properly.

yeah it does sometimes, I mounted it there last year in an emergency as I was going away hunting & there was the easiest place to mount it, I plan to move it shortly

Good thinking on the placement of the turbo timer mate

thanks mate.

On Board Air Compressor

Hi Guys,

over the weekend I mounted an air tank from a Isuzu truck which is about 25L, & a Big Red compressor,

the tank i got for free from work it had to be sanded back & repainted as it had surface rust, I then mounted it on the towbar, it fitted so neatly & out of the way

the compressor got mounted in behind the tubliner out of the way
it cuts in at 60 psi & cuts out at 110 psi & it fills it from 0-110 psi in about 5 minutes

it still hasn't been hard wired as I still have to mount a deep cycle battery in the tray.

What!? You paid $500 for a hardcover. Maybe i should have sold mine instead of throwing it out on the verge for the council clean up, lol. Atleast the bloke that picked it up an hour after i put it out there is happy.

another update,

finished installing my dual batteries, used an AGM deep cycle battery rated at 575CCA & 80Ah, a redarc battery isolator & 2B&S cable
here's a few photos of my setup

thanks mate,

Yeah it is a shame I have have the factory twin starting batteries under the bonnet,

but if you nav is a has one battery you can fit a second with a few easy mods,

yeah tell me about it hehehe, I've spent so much on my rig

i see you are from SA, good to see another on here

Hey guys just another update, I've had a brand new Flexiglass canopy put on, & I bought a set of outback storage draws & a 60L outback water tank off of gumtree they were second-hand but in excellent condition, I installed them on Wednesday it wasn't that hard to fit them. also my battery has fitted nicely into the side compartment of the storage unit, i had to remove the tubliner to fit the draws in. Let me know what you guys think

Hey guys last week i bought i second hand snorkel on Ebay, luckily it had the templates. It set me back $225 with postage, i get it on Thursday it was in almost perfect condition. On Saturday afternoon my bro & I attempted to fit it, I stayed up till 1am working on my Nav hehehe. had a few troubles with it but in the end it mounted up perfectly. I sealed all the air tubes with urethane. this morning i finished putting it back together, i have noticed it goes a bit better & you can hear a nice intake note. Also i noticed there's a bit of blow back at the ram head, is this normal ?? . over all i'm happy with it
