Are leaks from the turbo anything to be concerned about? Are there seal kits to purchase to replace these or is it a slow sigh of things to come?

On a zd30

As above, check the clamp holding the air intake hose from the airbox to the turbo is tight (I replaced the piece of stock shite hose clamp that was on there which wasn't even sealing the connection), my turbo use to have oil on it all the time. To get rid of the oil almost completely, which will save your intake getting gunked up (and potentially combining with EGR gas if yours isn't blocked to form vegemite like paste in your intake manifold) fit a catch can like the provent 200.

As above.

Leaking turbo seals ARE an issue, because you're losing engine oil which could prematurely wear the turbo if the oil's leaving the turbo before getting to the bearings and could result in other damage to the engine.

There are kits available on eBay for a DIY fix but you'll probably find that a decent 4x4 workshop will be able to do the rebuild for you if you're not mechanically inclined or aren't confident in your ability.

Determine where the oil is coming from first. Do you have an intercooler? If not, consider one, because if the turbocharger DOES ever let go, its bits will be caught by the intercooler rather than distributing themselves among your pistons and burying themselves inside the head of the engine.

All the clamps have been retightened and the area washed (from my service last week) so will get it checked out next week when my brake pads and rotors are replaced. It isn't intercooled either and I am tossing up whether to replace the seals as the turbo seems fine. If i had the coin id get the intercooler and new turbo from forefront

check the four small allen head bolts that the cartridge is bolted to the housing with, I had one of them fall out and the others were loose and oil was poring out , a few "specialists" said it was toast.
Put a new bolt in for 50c and tightened the other three and it was like new.
They are tricky to get to but definitely a must check.

Edit; they face the fire wall and they are in a square layout, the top two are easy to see and get to the bottom two are the tricky ones to both see and to get a allen key into, i actually cut down an old key to make it easier.
