A few days ago my 2018 D23 wouldn't start. Dash lights up and everything seems normal but it wont crank or anything. Battery tests good. After turning the key back and forth a heap it finally started but today its doing the same thing but turning the key a heap isn't doing the trick this time. I've checked a heap of fuses and and other things the internet suggested but info seems limited. Anyone have any other ideas? I thought it could be the ignition itself? No sure how to check this though.

It's entirely possible that the ignition switch has let go. Might even just be some debris inside the switch on the contacts - the switch shouldn't actively pass a lot of current (relays are used for that) so it shouldn't be the contacts "burning".

Because it's keyed, you might have to either take a punt and grab one from a wrecker, or get Nissan to diagnose it (which might be expensive).

Try calling a wrecker and see what they say the ignition is going to cost. I know these guys aren't near you, but they've been good to me and they'll probably post it for you (ask, I guess!).
